I’m actually very excited right now because today is the day my girls return from their first ever 4 day Summer Church camp extravaganza. I can’t wait to hear all about their days and nights at camp.
Do you remember your first ever summer camp experience? What was it like for you?
It was Camp Karankaua for me, back when I was in Girl Scouts – many many moons ago, and it was So. Much. Fun!!!
The crafts. The trails. The campfires. The new friends. The cool camp advisors. The food. And yes, even the mosquito bites. The whole camp experience was awesome for me. And that’s what I’m hoping to hear from Patience and Piper.
This was them leaving for camp…

Waiting to load the bus

And I’m watching them leave (it was actually very hard for me)

And the Church we attend set up a facebook page so that parents can see what’s going on. And guess what? I was able to find two pictures with my girls in them. The first one is more than obvious – it’s Piper (bottom right).

But on this next one you really have to look close because Patience is playing “where’s Waldo?” See if you can spot her (Hint: She’s wearing a purple top and she’s waving with her right hand)…

Now we’re off to pick up the girls.
This is where you pretend (just for a minute) that you’re listening to the music from Shrek (when Shrek and Donkey make their way into Duloc…all you hear is that elevator music; right before Donkey plays that “Welcome to Duloc” song), yeah…play that in your head for a sec…
…and we’re back. And with that – we bring you more pictures!!! By the way, did you like that elevator music?

Patience was the first one to hug us…and as you can tell by her fast moving hands – she was still packing more energy than the Energizer bunny.

And now…
You guessed it – they’re back on the computer checking on everything they “missed” while they were gone.

Welcome home girls!!! We missed you
