Please say Hi To Emily, our guest blogger – sharing her thoughts on why cruises make the best family vacations. Hope you’ll chime in, share or tweet this post…

When it comes to planning a family vacation there are many options including going on a cruise. There are various reasons why cruises make the best family vacations. Just a few things are the location choices, cost and activities. Then there are the family benefits of a cruise vacation that deals with fun shared and time spent together.
Location Choices:
There are cruises to a variety of locations. It could be Alaska, Bermuda, Europe, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal or South Africa, as some examples. There being so many choices a family is sure to find some place they agree upon for their vacation.
Cost:
Whether a family is doing well or not when it comes to finances, a vacation is often considered a leisure expense. A cruise is a cost-effective way to travel for families. There are often deals available when booking a cruise such as children either being half price or free! Another option is the room, which if a family chooses a smaller room that will accommodate them rather than a bigger family suite they could save money. The family might realize they will be out having fun and not in the room all the time meaning it is only location for cleaning up and sleeping. Some families like to spend a little extra money and get bigger rooms or cabins as well as choosing to pick two rooms and maximize their space. Families also enjoy the fact that food is included in the deal.
Activities:
Cruises have a wide array of activity choices as well. The activities are available for families as well as just for kids, teens, tweens and adults. They all have programs, such as activities geared to their likes. Parents that interested in finding activities for their children can talk to a front desk representative or an activities director and ask for assistance. Most of this is handled at the beginning of the cruise, but plans can be arranged throughout the excursion. There are generally youth centers including arcades and game areas as well as spas, gambling and shopping available. Then there are the ashore and extra activities, including visiting the area sites through personal tours or guided tours and parasailing. There is fun for the entire family to experience.
When the cruise is over and families look back on the pictures they took they can remember they had a good time in a nice location that provided them with tons of activities to enjoy. Nevertheless, quality time spent as a family could be the most precious memories shared on a family cruise vacation.
