It’s been a pretty lazy day today (more like a lazy weekend). Yesterday we sat around and watched a marathon of Disney movies (post coming soon). Today we watched our regular church service (online) – I feel horrible. We should have just got out of bed and headed to church but instead I pored my cup of coffee, turned on my computer and watched the service from there…next week I’ll be there for sure. Maybe even this Wednesday too.
There is but one weekend left before the first day of school, then it’s back to normal sleep/wake schedules, early dinners and all that kind of stuff. I am so ready for school to start.
We didn’t take advantage of our Tax FREE weekend this weekend. Hub said there’s just no point in fighting the masses to save $8 per hundred. I’m not too worried thought – we’ll get it all done before the first day of school. I’m sure of it.
Anyway. I hope you guys had a great weekend and that you have something fun to look forward to this coming week. For me it’s a family visit. My mom is coming down for a visit and she’s bringing my sister, niece and nephew. I’m really looking forward to this visit, especially since it’s the last week of summer vacation.
Oh yeah, before I forget…
…we’re getting a puppy guys. A registered white lab. She/he is still a baby, and we haven’t even picked from the litter yet (we just know we’re getting one). We’re thinking we might get a male; not sure yet. We have another 3-4 weeks before we can see the little one, but I’m still so excited. The girls don’t know about it yet, but they’re beginning to figure it out (even thought we keep denying it). Usually when I get pet supplies for review, I give it to friends and family but there’s a box of Merrick Dog food samples that arrived that I yet to give to anyone else. They’re getting awfully suspicious of this. I just hope I can keep it hush-hush until the day we bring the pup home.
Any idea for pup names?
Oh, and there’s even more news…but (and I’m sorry)…I just have to see how it unfolds before I can share it. Trust me though, as soon as I know more, you’ll be the first ones I tell.

I’m still working on a name for my baby, so maybe I’m not the best person in the world to offer suggestions!!! lol How are the wire-chewing bunnies doing?
My husband said the same thing about tax free weekend and honestly, I found awesome deals on clothing at Old Navy BEFORE the tax free days. I think it’s just hype and you battle a crowd for mediocre deals.
Thanks Renee…and no worries. We’re having a hard time deciding on a name too, at least until we see the little guy or gal.
How are you feeling lately? I can’t wait to hear the news of the new arrival. I’m looking forward to it.
The wire-chewing bunnies are a lot better. We’ve had to baby proof the house. Sadly thought, we’ve had to separate the two because they fight like cats and dogs now; mainly Tippy. Tippy will chase Licorice into a corner and then she’ll bite her in the but and hind leg. Apart – they’re great!!!

Awe, thanks Janet. I can’t wait to see out new puppy too. It’s killing me trying to keep it a secret from the girls. 2 – 2 1/2 more weeks before the arrival.
