The girls and I try to plan movie nights often, usually when dad’s working late because we know he doesn’t appreciate the same movie genre as we do. It’s all good though. It just gives us another reason to hang out together, just the three of us.
So anyway. While I popped popcorn, the girls got the movies together and set them by the DVD player (in order of how we’d watch them). We made sure we were all comfortable and then started our evening’s entertainment.
Our favorite-most favorite-movie of the night…Rock Stars! Hands down! This movie was so cute it had the girls’ undivided attention. They loved it so much they paused the movie when they needed to take a bathroom break. Did I mention they had all of my favorite Disco tunes throughout? Oh yeah they did!!!
The next two movies – I
Shakey and My Friend Bernard – were equally as cute.
I loved how My Friend Bernard had no speaking. The narrator did a great job of explaining everything going on though. This movie – though cute and fun to watch – would be best suited for kids under 5.
I {heart} Shakey was a fun one to watch. I think some of the characters were a little annoying (mostly the bad guys – you know how that goes), but overall, the story line was great.
If you’re looking for some fun movies to watch with the kids, consider…
