Super fun #FaberCastellParty With The #Girls

by barb on August 17, 2012

Oh my gosh, our Faber-Castell’s Creativity For Kids in-home crafting-party was SO, MUCH, FUN!!! Even the moms (and 1 boy) had a blast. We’re actually still enjoying everything that came from that party today.

I’ll tell you about the Craft Party and the products involved in just a minute, but first I must show you the pictures I took (brace yourself, there are a lot, but I do hope you’ll like seeing them).

From the second the boxes arrived the girls have held that gitty smile.

It took all of about an hour to get these bags set and filled for their party guests (they kept reading and staring at all the boxes). The hard part was waiting through the next few days before the part(ies) took place. And to top it off, our guests couldn’t all come at the same time (prior summer plans) so we broke the fun into two parties. LOL…it was still so much fun! Take a look.

Party 1 was a real blast. We did crafts for hours – literally – and not one child left without a huge smile on their face. And as for Party 2…

…it was just as much fun as the first. Every one of the kids had fun. Everyone (including parents) raved about how awesome these kits were and how great they’d be as gifts for Christmas and Birthdays.

Our weekend Crafting party was a hit, in fact. We couldn’t have asked for a better turn out (even though our party had to be broken into two).

There were a few items in the party kit that I’d say are better left to small “family” craft nights; I say this only because they either have the ability to become toooo messy. The following pictures come from the crafts the girls and I enjoyed together.

An E-Z Easy Spray Tie Dye Bandana ‘crafting’ kit went home with every guest.

I figured this “craft” could get pretty messy so I used an old outdoor beach towel, hand gloves, and an apron, along with all the extra things each kit came with.

After about an hour of spraying all the necessary die on their bandanas, it was time to set them aside for 24 hour…which meant we had time to do more fun-time-messy crafts together. This time with GLITTER.

We really had so much fun! But I do have to say – it can get very messy. I think I’m still sweeping glitter off the floor and picking it off our clothes ever so often. Still, it was lots of fun.

And after 24 hours it was time to finish their bandana project (yes, that’s 3 days of constant crafts for us). The second half of this project took another few hours; only a few minutes of rinsing, but add the washing and drying and you’ve got yourself a few hours of fun.

I hope you didn’t mind all these pictures. I just couldn’t help myself. There were so many high points to our party; I want to make sure I covered everything.

All and all – our party weekend was amazing. I can’t even express – in words – how much fun we all had. The girls have not stopped talking about it yet, nor have they stopped admiring their crafty work, which makes me totally happy.

As far as “recommending” Creativity For Kids to others – you can bet your sweet bottom I will. I love everything about this company and its products (and their prices).

Wow–that looks like so much fun, especially the bandanna tie dyeing!

The girls had a blast. The tie dying kit was one of the favorites. I don’t know what it is about crafts but for Patience and Piper, the more messy it can be – the more they love it! :)
