Giveaway: Energizer Battery Packs

by barb on September 20, 2012

I didn’t know this but there’s been a recent rise in coin lithium battery digestion in children. So much so that Energizer is doing their best to promote child safety with their new battery packaging.

Energizer has added an easily understandable icon section on the front of the package to let parents know to keep their batteries away from small children, along with a detailed warning copy advising the dangers of ingesting coin cell batteries and how to get help if these batteries are swallowed.

Energizer is hoping to have a full transition of this packaging complete before the upcoming Holiday season.

I too was unaware of how many parents are putting their kids in danger by not keeping track of batteries. That’s a shame.

Wow – never thought about kids eating those – good for Energizer for making the switch. Great idea.
