In the past 5 months, since becoming a Kotex Mom Ambassador, I’ve been able to touch on a number of topics, with my girls – concerning the “P” word – without a single problem.
It’s not as bad as I imagined it would be – talking to my girls about getting their periods – thanks to the people at the Kotex Tween Website
Last week Patience, Piper and I sat down to talk about the “Monthly Maintenance” part of keeping up with their period (i.e., remembering the importance of hygiene, staying on top of changing pads, dealing with moodiness, etc.). The conversation was great. Lots of questions were asked, and I’d like to think that it was the Kotex website, for tweens, that helped me help them understand the “period” thing better. The certainly don’t seem as scared as they were about
U by ™Kotex Tween is a place that can help arm you – the mother – with all the facts about periods and can help prepare you for any question your daughter might ask. It has a special Q+A section, for different age groups, to help break the ice on having that
conversation, and a spot where you can get tips from other moms who’ve had success with the topic and so much more!
Kotex knows that your tween has her own unique period needs. That’s why they’ve created this site. The only thing missing is you and your daughter!
Final thought: Of all the brands available for period protection, I think Kotex did an amazing job with the U by Kotex line. The girls love the colors and designs while I love the protection it will give them. It’s already a staple in our home for one daughter and I’m sure it will be this way for the next.
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a Brand Ambassador Campaign byMom Central Consulting on behalf of U by Kotex Tween and received products to facilitate my post and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate
