I find so much joy in seeing the reactions of Patience and Piper, to foods I bring into the house…especially when the foods offer aid (without compromising taste and/or texture) to those with gluten sensitivities.
Now, I don’t know for certain if the symptoms Patience, Piper and I experience most every day has anything to do with having gluten sensitivities but after reading the “symptoms of…” – on Udi’s Gluten Free site – I’m pretty sure that’s what our problem’s been all along – that or we all have Celiac Disease (?).
Celiac Disease is: an auto immune disorder where gluten triggers the immune system to attack the lining of the small intestine. Over time, Celiac Disease can cause malabsorption, leading to a wide range of health problems (more info @ Celiac.com).
We received coupons not too long ago, to try some new items from Udi’s. Sadly they didn’t offer any of them in my area. This means I can’t tell you what I think about them, but what I can do is tell you about the items I was able to find.
I’ve reviewed a few of Udi’s products in the past and the girls, CJ, John and I really love them. The crunchy Granola and double chocolate breakfast muffins are mm-mm-good! But then again, so are the Cinnamon rolls and breads and those delicious blueberry muffins with big sugar crystals on top – Oh my gosh, they are so, so good! Thinking about them is making me hungry all over again. And what’s amazing is: the items I’ve told you about don’t even add up to half of what Udi’s Gluten Free has to offer.
Oh, and BTW- if you’re looking for a great snack – try a banana with a handful of Udi’s crunchy granola – especially since the granola has banana chips in the bag – it’s such a great tasting combination.
Everything I’ve ever tried from Udi’s has been loved. I could only imagine just how good the new foods taste. I do wish they offered more of a selection in my area though – it’d make things so much easier.
A few of their new items include (but are not limited to): Whole Grain Seeded Dinner Rolls, French Baguettes, and their Classic French Dinner Rolls (all of which are dairy, soy & nut free).
Check out the breads and rolls section of Udi’s for more.
You should be able to find these in select grocery stores in your area. You can find one near by using Udi’s location tracker.
I may not be eating 100% Gluten free, yet, but when I do make that change, it will be to Udi’s Gluten Free foods. I have been so happy with everything I’ve tried so far; I can’t imagine they’d offer anything I’d dislike.
If you’re looking to make that change to Gluten Free foods, are curious about the foods and why Gluten Free is the way to be – visit Udi’s! There you’ll learn a lot.
PS- every product is as good as it looks online.
Disclosure: I was provided with coupons, for the purchase of Udi’s Gluten Free foods. Any thoughts, opinions, and/or testimonials are always my own.
