Another Lazy Day with My Girls

by barb on January 26, 2013

Piper, Patience and I are vegging out for the day; doing nothing more than playing on the computer, crocheting, and – maybe – we’ll watch a movie or play a board game (we have plenty to choose from).

I have a new book “Super Moms Inc” by Carolyn Woods. It arrived yesterday so I’m hoping to get at least one or two chapters read too (I’ll have a review and giveaway for that soon).

I don’t think I mentioned this but last weekend we went to visit Jager. The trainer says he has a lot of potential. He’s doing great; looks great too. I don’t think I shared any pictures of that trip with you.

He sits so tall now (my big boy).

I’ve been working on CJ’s afghan for 20 days now and I’ve finally broke the halfway point, but I still have a ways to go.

Afghan for CJ - UPDATE

Once the inside is complete I’ll weave all the ends in and start the edging. That alone could take another couple of days. But that’s okay because I really love what I’m doing.

As always, I’ll keep you posted on my progress. I’ll actually be visiting my mother in the hospital this week (she has a procedure to go through) so I’m taking the afghan with me. I’ll be spending a lot of time in the waiting room so I figured this would keep me plenty busy. I’ll tell you more about my mother’s situation later.

HEADS UP: I have another Little Caesars $10 GC to give away…I should have it posted tomorrow. Keep an eye out for it. But until then, have a great weekend.

I love lazy weekends. It can sometimes be hard to get a 5 year old to be lazy. We had a basketball game, nap, and went our to dinner yesterday. We also straightened up his playroom! Today is church and then to my dad’s. ;-)

Yeah, I remember when the girls were younger…there’s no such thing as a “lazy day” with kids that young. :) But, it sounds like you had a pretty fun day with the boys.

We’re home now but we went to church this morning. It was the 15th birthday of our church…the service was great!!!
