In the past 10 days I’ve managed to pack, wipe, wash, scrub, unpack and clean my way into a new and very nice little apartment. It’s much smaller than we’re used to but I kinda like it this way. It’s definitely easier to clean.

I don’t think my new place (or the old one) would have been quite as nice if I didn’t have a great bucket of cleaners by my side. I may have done the labor but I must give credit where credit is due.

The dishwasher at the old place didn’t work. It hadn’t worked for over a year and I had actually, and very unhappily, been handwashing dishes for far too long. It was nice to get a packet of Sunlight Lemon / Oxi Complex Dishwashing soap because it came just days before the big move. It was also the first thing I did when I started unpacking at the new place…and it’s something I do every night after dinner…and have been loving every minute of it. The dishes smell so lemony and are coming out so clean – better than my hand washing could have ever done.

I’ve been doing a lot of laundry since moving into the new place too – more than usual – washing towels, clothes, washing & rewashing linens, curtains and comforters. Laundry soap and fabric softener has also been high on the list of things to have…
