The Secret Life of the American Teenager is not recommended for anyone under the age of 14 years of age (just had to mention that). I wasn’t aware of this in the beginning, being that it came from Disney Home Entertainment, but I’m happy I caught that quick. My girls wanted to watch it and I told them yes…well, that is until I heard the first few lines and then it changed to a quick ‘NO- not for you kiddos!’ As for my 17 year old, not a problem. I think he can relate to the story line a lot more. Not that he’s living the same situations as in the characters in the show, but he has...

WOW- I don’t know what to say. I know that everyone’s different and that everyone is gifted with their own sense of humor, but, WOW! I’m not here to dissect any part of his show. Overall, I thought it was funny. I do, however, feel obligated to tell you that his humor is not for everyone and definitely not for anyone under the age of 18. His humor can be a little deep and sometimes jaw dropping. If you’re the type of person that gets offended easily, I don’t think this show’s for you either. This is 100% uncensored humor. American Violet has been described as “Amazing! The first must-see film for African-Americans in 2009,” by BET.com and Jeffrey Lyons of NBC Reel Talk has said “A powerful, compelling true story of a woman of courage.” Released today (Oct. 13th, 2009) on DVD and Blu-ray; you too can see for yourself, the powerful story of a struggling young African-American mother who tries to clear her name after being wrongly arrested for dealing drugs in an impoverished Texas Town. This unfair prosecution and the false accusations to Dee Roberts (Beharie) will have your heart torn to pieces as you feel...

Do you love the Wiggles? Do you love good ole’ fashioned Nursery Rhymes? How about Dorothy the Dinosaur? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you’re going to get a kick out of this!!!! I recently received a copy of The Wiggles: Sing a Song of Wiggles (A new collection of Nursery Rhymes) & The Wiggles Present: Dorothy the Dinosaur’s Memory Book. Each of them were amazing at keeping the girls entertained, each of them kept the girls singing, laughing and bouncing around the living room  to classic tunes from the Wiggle’s already famous show- The Wiggles! Elvis Photo 1

Who wouldn’t love to receive a DVD filled with performances by Elvis Presley? I know I hit the roof when I got my mail a few days ago holding the electrifying appearances of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show.   My youngest (6) was pretty tickled when I opened the DVD and played it. By the end of the video, she was instantly addicted to his voice and music like so many others who hear Elvis for the first time. In fact…since watching, she can now do a spectacular impersonation of Elvis with the “Thank you, Thank you very much” bit…it sounds so cute, I wish you could hear it. VN:F...

Hi everyone, I hope your day is going as great as mine! Today I’m reviewing the latest DVD from Rob Thomas; Something To Be Tour, Live at Red Rocks…and he’s spectacular!!! The only thing that could have made it better is Santana making a guest appearance for the song “Smooth”. Other than that tiny change, The DVD rocks!!! What a fun 95 minutes I spent watching the whole concert! The DVD includes live footage from his concert at The Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado- a legendary venue that has been graced by rock luminaries from the Beatles to U2. He even performs a classic David Bowie...

Before I begin my review I’d love to take a moment and wish all you dads out there a wonderfully pleasant & HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!! From the bottom of my heart; I hope you have a great one.    Hubby and I (we’ll just call him JP)…JP and I were lucky enough to receive a copy of Elsewhere on DVD. It was actually pretty interesting. It definitely falls into the suspense and thriller category and although some parts ended up being pretty predictable, it was still pretty good. I give this movie a B+ because to me, it was suspenseful; to me, it was definitely a thriller and had me...

Talk about a funny “HA-HA” movie. I recommend keeping the little ones out of the room for this one, but, let me tell you; it was FU-U-U-N-N-N-Y!!!   The Hubby and I decided to pop the movie in last night…I didn’t know he knew (or remembered) how to laugh (he’s always in a funk from work; he’s always so serious); anyways, it’s a movie you’ll have to see if you haven’t already. Shoot, I don’t think I’ve laughed that much in a while. It was a complete “Battle of the Sexes”!  The movie stars John Corbett, Jerry O’Connell, Heather Graham and Lara Flynn Boyle. The...

Now, I know that Father’s Day isn’t until June 21st, but I still thought this prize pack would be a great dedication to Father’s everywhere. After all, don’t guys love comedy at its finest? I know that the “guys” in my home love nothing more than snacking on popcorn & chips while watching a comedy show (vulgarity and all)…the dirtier the better they say (LOL).  Would you like to know what’s up for grabs (I know you’ll like it)?
