I love the wonderful world of online communications. I was checking my email this morning and came across one with the subject line, “related”. I was pleasantly surprised to read that one of my second cousins found me through a YouTube video I had commented on a while back. You see, My uncle, Homar Hernandez, was a composer for Tejano music. I get in this mood every once in a while where I just need to hear his music and draw up a few tears while I reminisce his presence. Hey guys. Just a quick update to let you know that my sister is doing fine and I should be returning home in the next day or two. The fact that school starts (for my kids) next week; I have no choice, but also- my sister’s doing much better now. She still needs rest and has to stay off her feet, not carry anything over 10 lbs and relax…but, aside from that she’s doing awesome. They baby is great too! I had it all planned out. Today was going to be the day that I put forth every bit of energy I had to write as many product reviews as I can. I was ready for it. I even geared myself up for this last night as I was drifting off to sleep. Heck! I even coached myself; going over each product in my head and answering any questions I needed to ask myself before writing it down on paper. This morning was great! Hey all. Just wanted to let you know that in just a few short hours, I will be making the drive back to reality (home). My husband has already informed me that the packages are becoming plentiful. This is quick post; to let you know that my sister, her husband and her kiddos arrived home yesterday. They had a safe trip and my niece brought home some beautiful trophies and a beautiful crown (I’ll tell you all about that really soon). For now, I’ll share a few pictures. Now that they’re home, I can’t really do much writing; 8 kids (9; when my other niece comes over) in a house makes for a very tough time concentrating. So, with that said…I will be back to work come Wednesday (Thursday at the very latest). Again, I am so sorry that I haven’t been working all that much lately....
OMG- I have been so busy lately. I am currently house sitting for my sister while she’s away. I do apologize; for not being as active as I used to be before the kids started their summer vacation. We normally don’t travel, or haven’t in years, but this summer seems to be a very busy one for us. The girls and I got here on the 5th (to San Antonio) and have been enjoying family time with all my nieces, nephews, my younger sister and my mother (oh, and my brother-in-law). My kids have been so happy since I was chosen to participate in the YourSphere ambassador program. They love listening to the music that other kids upload. They love playing games and they love knowing that, as long as they keep logging in and participating, they’re going to earn lots of great rewards. I am having such a blast trying the latest Flavor Splash waters from Aquafina. They’re amazingly refreshing and oh so very tasty- seriously! I just received the latest package (Strawberry Kiwi) yesterday and, sadly, there is no more. I went to the fridge to offer our guest one earlier today and they were all gone. I felt horrible. I didn’t realize my kids ran in and snatched up the last two bottles. We all had a Shrek of a weekend. I had all my nieces and nephews, my mother, my sisters and my brother-in-law in town. We ate at McDonald’s where their kid’s happy meals were filled with Shrek toys. We bought cereal, for our morning breakfasts, which had Shrek toys in them. My son (and Nephew’s) birthday cake was Shrek themed and we even watched Shrek movies at home. After they were all watched, my son and his girlfriend heading to watch Shrek forever after in theaters. It was a fun, fun weekend for everyone; including the adults!
